OUR INSTRUCTORS
WILL SANDERS
Will Sanders is a U.S. Air Force Combat Arms Instructor SNCOIC with over 20 years of experience in both military and civilian law enforcement. An instructor in Use of Force, Shoot/Move/Communicate, MOUT, and ground combat skills training, Will developed and implemented USAF Officer Training School curriculum that is still in use today. Will was decorated for courage for his response to an officer down while serving as a patrol deputy in Tennessee. He brings operational and instructional experience to firearms training, emphasizing professional standards, technical proficiency, and practical application.
ERIC FRASER
Eric Fraser brings more than two decades of Marine Corps experience in reconnaissance, precision marksmanship, combat shooting, competitive firearms training, scout Sniper, Combat Marksmanship Trainer, jump- and dive-qualified Reconnaissance Marine, Infantry Officer, and member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Shooting Team. He applies that experience to developing disciplined, capable shooters through proven fundamentals, speed, accuracy, and performance under pressure
CHASE CHEWNING
Chase has been in civilian law enforcement since 2020. After serving as a training Sergeant in the Atlanta area, he moved to a large Metro Atlanta department and was quickly assigned to a proactive enforcement unit. Chase is now a full-time firearms instructor for that department. He is a GA POST instructor in multiple fields including firearms and taser along with being a NRA pistol instructor.
ALAN HENDLER
Alan's passion for firearms began in childhood and developed into competitive shooting after being introduced to organized marksmanship through The Appleseed Project. Since entering 2-Gun competition in 2019, he has competed in more than 300 local, regional, and national matches across USPSA, precision rifle, and PCSL, which is now his primary focus. Since late 2024, he has served as Match Director for The Atlas Group’s PCSL 2-Gun match at Pickens County Sportsman’s Club and Assistant Director at Georgia Firing Line.
RYAN PURDY
Ryan has over 18 years of experience as a firearms owner and shooter and brings a strong foundation of practical knowledge and experience to firearms instruction. He has competed in shooting sports for seven years, completing approximately 175 matches in the past three years alone. Ryan's competitive experience spans multiple disciplines, including PCSL, USPSA, IDPA, and NRL22, providing him with a diverse background in practical and precision shooting.
BRANDON TRUESDELL
Brandon Truesdell began his competitive shooting career in late 2021, quickly developing a passion for the discipline, challenge, and camaraderie of the sport. After beginning training with The Atlas Group in 2022, he progressed into an instructor role, helping other shooters develop their skills and confidence. His commitment to growing the shooting community ultimately led him to become the PCSL 2-Gun Match Director at GA Firing Line, where he continues to organize matches, train, and compete.
NICK BEUTELL
Nick Beutell's passion for firearms began in the Boy Scouts, where he developed a strong foundation in rifle, and shotgun marksmanship before advancing into coaching youth shooters. In 2017, he began competing in IDPA and USPSA, gaining valuable experience in practical and competitive shooting. After joining The Atlas Group in 2024, his passion for competitive shooting was reignited, leading him to further develop his skills and expand his career as a firearms and marksmanship instructor.
